i forget the pattern to open the private mode

i want to use the private mode in 'settings', and i created a pattern ( for lock/unlock). When i had to confirm this pattern, i forgot wich one it was. Result: every time i use an incorrect pattern, i can not acces, and i have to wait a few minutes, before i can draw a new pattern. And this is repeating itself endlessly. What can i do , to again be able to make a new pattern? ( some kind of a reset maybe ?). Hope someone can help me with this.
