Why black border suddenly started to appear around my phone screen???

Just got my Huawei GR3 a month ago but today suddenly, I came back home from college and saw black borders around my phone screen which were never there. Would be really glad if someone could help.

Run an LCD test app. If the issue persists there, try rebooting the phone into safe mode and/or recovery. If the issue still persists, it is a hardware issue. If it is under warranty, get it fixed.

Most phones do not have CRT screens.

If the black bars show up in screenshots, you have a software problem.
If they do not show up in screenshots, you have a hardware problem.

Yes I was thinking of something I read very long ago, about a TV screen image being shrunk as a consequence of too low a voltage.
