    Default Gingerbread Manual Updated

I have never rooted my phone or changed anything that was stock...

I have downloaded the update and have followed all the instructions on the original post.

I have an error come up that says...

Failed to open/sdcard.update.zip (no such file or directory)

    AND

    Signature verification failed
    Installation aborted

What can I do to make this work...I have tried it three times and deleted and moved things around on my computer and on my SD card.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

Do I need to unzip the file before I try and install it on my phone?

This is the download link I used-
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

How to install 4.5.588 for the Droid X manually

Rename it update.zip and move it to your Droid X SD card.
    Power off your Droid X.
Hold down the home buttons and power button. When you see the Motorola logo appear, you can let go of the power button.
When you see the Droid with the exclamation mark, press the search key once.
You'll now be in recovery. Choose to install update.zip, and you're on your way!

I used the link that was included in the AndroidCentral post and that did exactly the same thing as this download did...
