Have run z4root 1.3.0 multiple times on new Galaxy Tab with firmware 2.2. Each time, after selecting either temporary or permanent root, I get the message "Running exploit to obtain root privileges", followed by the message "Acquiring root shell", then the device vibrates, runs another 30 seconds or so, vibrates again, and then dies. Any suggestions?

Yes, all versions of the original Galaxy Tab are compatible with Z4root.

Like the OP, I can no longer successfully unroot/re-root my tab after the recent Verizon update (build SCH-I800.EC02). If anyone knows of a fix, it would be greatly appreciated.
