I have been using the xfinity stream app for local news and major network TV sports. Its 1080P and I would guess at least ~25 fps, not unlike Youtube vids.

How come the Xfinity app runs my phone cooler than Youtube? YT temps are not alarming or concerning mind you, but there is a slight but noticeable difference. FWIW my phone is an LGV10, so its not exactly a CPU efficiency champ and with its bootloop history I do make efforts to keep temperatures in check.

Are both streaming at the same resolution? I wonder if YouTube uses more bandwidth, and therefore more CPU cycles. Perhaps the accompanying audio stream is higher quality in YouTube? I couldn't find any definitive answer with a quick search.

Well It might be an advantage of xfinity stream app, I mean developers might designed app to have a need for less power. Because if conditions (enviroment, qualities of videos, phone etc.) are same, It can be the feature of this app.
