NEXUS S 4G - Exchange Server
So I picked up my new Nexus S 4G today and was setting up my exchange account for my work email and was presented with the following message(s):
the server **.****.net requires that you allow it to remotely control some security features of your phone.
* Erase all data - Erase the phone's data without warning by performing a factory reset.
* Set Current Password Rules- control the length and the characters allowed in screen-unlock passwords
* Monitor Screen-unlock Attempts
* Lock the Screen- Control how and when the screen locks.
Now mind you that my corporate email is a "cloud based" system. I know it works on two fellow employees phones (Droid X & Samsung Epic). Could this be a Gingerbread security add on?
Do you think I should Activate?

Nexus S 4G Exchange Problems
So I have been talking to tech support with Sprint and my company all day. It will not sync with my exchange and I get a message that states: "Setup could not finish. This server requires security features your phone does not support." I have many co-workers that have android phones on my work server. Is this a bug that the 2.3 will need an update for. Any help would be great, I'm thinking I wasted my money.

Some of the stock e-mail apps have issues with some of the Exchange security features. Try K9 from the market. I have not used it myself, but many swear by it and it does comply with the advanced security for exchange. It also has a lot more features then the stock email app.Some say that his dormant chips were left that way for YOUR SAFETY... Others say that once "turned on," he can not be turned off... All we know is... He's called The Stig.
