Apps that pay
I have a Captivate and my iPhone buddy has an app called Field Agent. She get's paid to take pics of cereal and store displays. It's on 4 or 5 dollars, but it adds up by the end of the month. I was wondering if there was a similar company that does it for Android. I checked Field Agent and GigWalk, but they are exclusive to Apple. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I suppose you haven't gotten many replies.
Most Android users, don't want to be a ***** to other people. It's why we chose Android. For the freedom of choice.
It's an open market, with open developers. To change things, to what people want. They don't necessarily do it for the money, but more for what makes people happy.
I am sure, that within time, apps will pay people to use them for their marketing research. It's only normal. Pay some person a small pittance to do the dirty work. Then they reap the rewards....
But hey, sell your soul for a few dollars.....

Re: Apps that pay
Since this thread dropped, Gigwalk 1.0 came out for Android but was withdrawn at the end of March this year; at that point I'd had it myself for about one month and was just getting up to speed with some technical and picture quality issues.
The reason it was dropped is because v2.0, the version then rolled out for iPhone, has so far proved too difficult to configure for the highly variable Android platform. (So they say--I don't know why every other app under the sun can accommodate the variations in Android, yet Gigwalk can't.)
If you spent any time reading about Gigwalk last year and thought, "That sounds cool, I'd like to try that", it's changed a great deal. It's much more formal now. Instead of just taking a picture of a store soda display or doing something similar based on your happening to be at that location, you now have to apply for Gigs, and then promise to get them done by a certain time. And experience counts, so I don't know how Android users will be able to compete, even though Gigwalk assures us that we will, once they get the still promised Android version rolled out.=============================================

Re: Apps that pay
Speaking of paying apps generally, I'd be glad to know if there is any Android app that truly does pay out in money rather than points, coupons, sweepstake entries, or gift cards.
