Phantom app I cannot delete

Hey everyone,

Long story short, I have a phantom app on my phone. In this case it is Adobe Flash Player and I need to uninstall it. In the applications settings menu, it only shows up under "All apps" and reads as "com.adobe.flashplayer". Any ideas on how to delete an app that gives you no options when you tap on it? All of the options are greyed out. I cannot re-install Flash Player either...it won't let me.

Got it! Had to use Root Explorer to find the .APK but I got it.

Is Root Explorer and app? And will it be able to get rid of some of the bloated stuff? IE: Verizon apps

but like the name implies, you have to be rooted.

Yes, rooted and make sure to be very cautious as to which apps you delete. Not all are safe to remove.

ES file explorer can access root folder also and it's FREE.

It's usually better to rename and move (instead of deleting) the bloat that you don't wish running on your phone. That way, if you make a mistake, inadvertently remove something critical, or simply change your mind, you can restore it back to your system. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, it's probably best that you use an app like Bloat Freezer.

Also, if you use launcher pro, it gives you the option of hiding some icons from appearing in your app drawer. Theyre still there of course, but you don't have to look at them and get angry at Verizon.
