What is with my mp3s?

I have a Samsung Epic that I recently connected to my laptop and transferred my favorite tracks onto. Well now none of my phones apps can play them. I thought maybe it was an unsupported format. So I installed Winamp and a few others. But still no luck. I just don't understand it.

You're sure they're MP3's? How, exactly, are they encoded? What happens when you try to play them? Any error messages?

Well it must have been a software issue. Because I got rid of some apps and now they play.
Still have an issue with swype not getting a lot of the words right. I have to keep going back and fixing everything. Any way of going into the words it's learned and fixing them or adding more?

Ok, it gets weirder. Sometimes if I restart my phone then it works. Also, sometimes if I close all my running apps that fixes it. Perhaps it's a ram issue?
