Anyones security ever been compromised due to smartphone/Android?

I feel like mine has.

Just yesterday i got my first ever smartphone/android device.

I downloaded apps and such, one being the ebay app.

Then the next morning, my ebay account has been inflitrated. Which has never been. Cant help buy feel it is related.

So what about you guys?

First of all, define "infiltrated".

Secondly, since the dawn of time, when any pc accessed the net, there was always a risk of security violations. Read the news, even multi billion dollar conglomerates, with all their resources, get hacked.

Android, Blackberry, and Apple are not immune.

If you use your device, to store bank account numbers, secure passwords, etc, you always run a risk.

But if you're a 19yr old kid, selling and trading low dollar things on e-bay, for example, I suspect you're not that interesting to most "real" hackers.

Maybe to kids running "kiddie scripts"...
