Galaxy Nexus the next official Google phone?!?!

I haven't been doing phone searches in awhile since getting my Sprint Nexus S 4G. I got on here and saw the Galaxy Nexus coming out down the road. Is this phone just being advertised as the Ice Cream Phone and or is this the actual next Official Google phone coming out that will replace the Nexus S? I'm only buying the Google phones because of the awesome updates so I'm waiting to see. Please respond helping me out on this so I know what exactly this Galaxy Nexus phone is.

Don't worry, the Nexus S 4g will get upgraded to ICS soon. If you are rooted then you'll be Be to flash an ICS ROM right now.
