Re: NFC chips get hacked easy.
Essentially - this type of vulnerability is what killed these kinds of uses of bluetooth. The idea of using a wireless connection for payments scares me - but I'm sure at some point in the future the risks will be outweighed by the benefits.

Getting cc info isn't the same as purchasing. We risk having cc info stolen EACH TIME we use the card. This method is no different.
This video plays on the FUD associated with lack of notification that the NFC was used. To address the need, all that's required is an audible sound and notification that cc info was "read" via the NFC method. - 12-23-2011, 07:37 PM #12
Re: NFC chips get hacked easy.
I had my card data stolen years ago by a waiter in NYC. He would take the card with the envelope to the register and when no one was looking he had a reader tied to his ankle under his pant leg.
Now with the near field stuff, Im assuming it will just take a forged reader kinda like what our NJ gas stations do. I mean did.I am now in the Galaxy Nexus member's club as of Aug 2012. Late to the party, but well before it shuts down!
