    Default Pentaband phones?

    Hey,

I'm moving permanently from Verizon to T-Mo USA, but off contract. I'd like to be able to use my phone on 3G on any GSM network in the US (including AT&T-based MVNOs).

I know the Galaxy Nexus is pentaband, but I've had one on Verizon since December and I'm kinda over it. What I'd really like is a pentaband One X, but I don't see that available at the moment.

Does anyone know of some high quality pentaband Android phones out there? Perhaps overseas that I could import? Thanks!

Unfortunately I believe the Galaxy Nexus is about the best pentaband phone you can find right now.

Huawei's Ascend D is pentaband and shipping in July. It comes with Huawei's own quad core A9 chip and a 4.5 inch 1280x720 SuperIPS+ screen, so looks like it should be a pretty nice phone.

The Galaxy Nexus is still the best bet at this point. You'll have to be looking toward the end of the year before we possibly see another high-end pentaband device that could compete- if Google goes pentaband again with the next Nexus device.

The S4 chip has support for all the frequencies you could ever want, but good luck getting one that has them all unlocked and ready to use.

Great hardware, lousy software (N9 not nexus)

Isn't it possible to unlock them yourself with root?
