Tablet graphics vs PS2?

I am just curious if anyone knows if the current crop of quad core tablets can produce console like graphics on the level of the ps2? If so, when you ps2 emulators of that capability be available?

And if not when would that be possible?

I would say that current phone/tablet technology is capable of producing graphics that are pretty close to PS2 level as long as we're talking about the latest stuff like Tegra 3.

I honestly think that tegra 3 gives us better graphics capability than the ps2 and that we should really start seeing that happening soon. Some if the new games released like Mass effect look better

At the rate things are advancing, along with the current rumors of lackluster power in next-gen consoles, I'd say three years or so into next-gen we'll see the iPad producing better visuals than the home consoles (PS4, 720 and WiiU).
