Default Importing RAW digital camera photos to tablet

The iPad has a camera connector kit available so you can either plug in a camera via USB or import photos from the SD card.

Is this something I can do with an Android tablet?

Can the iPad handle RAW format?

If the Android tablet has USB host I don't see why you couldn't use a card reader to read an SD card. It might be hit or miss as to which ones will work, though.

The iPad handles the RAW images from my Canon DSLR just fine. The native photo app can view them just fine and I can edit them in apps Filterstorm and Photoshop Express.

Saw this post. Does the iPad handle RAW? I have the iPad2 and iPad3 with camera connector but to edit, the RAW files have to be converted to jpg (or PNG) files.

So do let me know if there are any apps or tablets that can edit RAW out of the "tablet". Here's hoping either Itunes has such an app or Android tabs can edit raw. Otherwise I will have to get the MBA 11

There are many apps in the store that can deal with .raw files.
