Default Samsung Galaxy 2 7.0 or 7.0 Plus?

I'm looking at getting my first Android device, and can get either a refurbished Galaxy 7.0 Plus for $239, or a new Galaxy 2 7.0 for $249. The Plus has 16G of storage and a 1.2 GHz processor, while the 2 has 8G and a 1.0 GHz. Not sure why they downgraded... The Plus also has a better camera for Skyping.

Which would you choose? Refurb makes me a little nervous, though everything I've bought that way in the past has been perfect. The warranty is only 3 months with that one and 1 yr on the new one.

I want it mostly for my magazine subscriptions, which is why the external storage is important and why I ruled out the Nexus 7. BTW, I started out ready to buy the Nook, but ended up looking into what else was available on the market, and decided full Android was the way to go, especially at these prices.

    Thanks much.

No opinions? Okay, well I decided to take a chance on the refurb. Better specs for less money, so we'll see how it goes.

I saw that you ruled out the Nexus 7 due to storage. How much space do magazines take up? You can get the 16gb for $250.

I didn't respond because for the money vs. spec comparison I would figure out a way to make the Nexus 7 work, honestly. I would figure out how to deal with the "limited" storage space.

Better processor, better display, way faster software udpates.
