I hate to interrupt the apple hating circle jerk, but before the iPhone concept came along, our beloved Android was a homely Blackberry-like keyboard based OS.

I've never owned an iPhone, nor do I want to, but I give credit where its due. If Eric Schmidt hadn't been sitting on Apples board of directors taking notes 5 years ago, this forum we're on wouldn't be here because we'd have nothing to talk about.

Don't go down that path unless you have read this entire thread first.

There are many things that Apple followed as well. Technology is not a closed all encompassing thing that stems from one source so why do people feel that Apple owns the concept of a smart phone? You could say that Apple owes Palm, BlackBerry or Motorola for pushing PDA's and cell phones to where they were before they entered the game. It's no different. Everyone appreciates what Apple has done. That is not the purpose of this thread. The purpose is to bring about a real understanding of the very thing you are stating. Apple didn't invent anything. They learned from others and advanced things just like Android has.

I couldn't help but think about the rounded corner rectangle Apple product when reading this. With the exception that the rectangle thing is actually worse.

What's funny is that a lot of devices fit the rectangle with rounded corners description. Like most tablets (Nexus 7 included) and some phones.

It doesn't matter because I already have one. Lol. Just kidding. I think they will have more by the 15th of January. As soon as they get the last backorders out I think they will open up the gates again.

I hope so. I finally have the money for one, and now they are out of stock. I have the nexus availability checker app, and a bookmark in Chrome that will take me right to the play store listing of the N4. All so that I can order one before they go out of stock again.

I think this next run shouldn't be quite as nasty. Are you aware of the holding down the enter button thing after tabbing through to the checkout button? That worked perfectly for me and I got in the 1-2 weekers on the second run.

The phone is truly amazing. The glass is like butter and the screen is beautiful. I run Nova launcher and it flies. I love the customization it adds. The size is perfect.
