Any one know if this security hole affect Jelly beans 4.1.2?

Its an app loop hole it affects all android versions as long as your not downloading apps from questionable place there's nothing to worry about. Google play and amazon are your safiest bets but I also use slideMe too. Just watch what you download.

Last I heard the play store fixed this issue. But all others including amazon are still affected.

Play store occasionally gets infiltrated, or at least it used to. I'm not if Google is increasing its vigilence. You probably still need to watch yourself there. Stick to the major apps and there will be little chance of an infected file being downloaded.
