No Omate Truesmart coverage? Is it just site policy, or am I missing something?
Do the folks at Android Central just choose not to report on Kickstarter projects? I suppose it would be an understandable policy to abstain from reporting on something until it's actually a product, but this project has multiple working prototypes and has already been funded five times over. I've seen Pebble posts on this site before, even before the Kickstarted company had started shipping product.
I'm already pledged at the 179 dollar level as a replacement for my now-stolen Galaxy Nexus, and maybe in the future if it turns out not to be enough of a phone for me, I'll use it as a companion for my Nexus 5. But with a SIM slot, it's a standalone smartwatch I can use for phone calls. 3G radio, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 5 megapixel camera, micro SD slot, all with Android 4.2.2, crammed into a waterproof chassis. ( with sapphire glass since they just hit their 500K stretch goal) It's perfect for me. My calls are short, I use GPS a lot, I listen to All Access with a bluetooth stereo headset (LG Tone + for life, yo), I like watches and I need a new phone. Bam, done, sold.
It's promising, and it'll be shipped out by November. Has anyone else pledged yet? Isn't anyone else interested in a standalone smartwatch?

oh, the "extreme edition" nearly runs out, only two available.
But may be they add an other hundred again, or you get the November edition, where you can add 20 USD to get it with 1GB RAM, more than 4 GB is not possible, but you still can add a micro-SD card up to 32 GB :-)
