Android Central on Mobile...

The majority of the time, I access this message board from my Nexus 4 via a web browser (typically Chrome) and have yet to find a way to determine if someone has liked, thanked, or quoted any of my messages. In fact, there's no obvious way to determine if someone has sent me a message. (Actually, truth be told, I really hate the message board mobile version navigation system, but that's a personal preference and not a technically measurable complaint.)

So how on my phone do I see if anyone has thanked, quoted, messaged, etc.?

I use the Android Central Forums app. Its in the store and I believe it's free.

Ah ha! Ok, this will take some getting used to, but it might just work.

Hmm... there's no access in this app to messages, thanks, etc. At least, I can't find it.

I think you are referring to the mobile version of the site. If you scroll all the way down, you should see a full site version link. I clicked on that a long time ago. Now I see the desktop version when I pull it up on my phone.

I too use the forums app. It is much easier on mobile, and I just clear out my notifications when I get home on my laptop. Sure I can clear them out during the day on my phone, but I typically come to the site anyway, so I just leave those until later.

Long press on someone's post and a window will come up allowing you to visit the poster's profile or thank them. Still not sure how to message users.

I don't understand why the mobile app would not let you see your private messages, let you see posts you were thanked for, liked for, or quoted in. Given this app is for use with a message board who's PRIMARY topic is mobile devices, it isn't very mobile-device-friendly, is it?

It is based off Tapatalk, which is a platform for a lot of forum apps.
