Imap idle on Android 4.3

Good morning,

I stupidly bought an iPhone 5S to replace my splendid HP Pre3, only to find it cannot do imap idle with my mail server which renders it useless as a business tool plus it has the most convoluted UI I've ever used. Before I buy either a Nexus 5, Galaxy S4 or HTC One, could somebody confirm that the built-in email app does idle or there is a third-party add-on to do it? I need a phone which shows me an email a second or two after it arrives on my mail server, not up to fifteen minutes later like the iPhone. That's it. Any other apps or niceties are a bonus.

You can set the sync time to be at very small intervals but it will drain battery. I'm pretty sure you can do the other things you mentioned but I'm not familiar with that.
