nexus 2012 or 2013?

hey guys i have a question. i want to buy the nexus 7 2012,but i found the nexus 7 2013 witch seemed to be better then the 2012 but in my country its like buying 2 nexus 7 2012 at once. is the 2013 version worth the money of 2 nexus 7 2012?

Both are excellent devices. The 2013 is newer, slimmer and has some under the hood differences over the 2012 model.

If your into gaming, the 2012 model in my opinion would be the better option because it has the Tegra processor under the hood which has a good supporting library of Tegra based games available. The 2013 still is a great gaming tablet if your into that, but you won't be able to play Tegra based games due to the change in processor.

If I was to go out though and recommend to someone purchasing one or the other in general I would say grab the 2013 model since its newer and will have a slightly longer supported lifespan over the 2012 which now has a year under its belt.

2013 model. Better in almost every way.

- Better storage options (it is like pulling teeth to get local storage out of Google, but the 2013 model finally has a 32 gig option)
- Better display (and the 2012 model already had a great display)...way brighter, Retina-quality PPI, and better contrast ratio than even the iPad.
- Double the RAM
- Rear camera
- Wireless Charging
- Better CPU - and a significantly better GPU
- Thinner and Lighter

It depends, if you can afford the 2013 go ahead, its faster with nicer screen and higher res. But at the sametime, if you can get the 2012 version for half the price of the 2013 its not bad. As long as you upgrade it to KitKit it will run smoothly. Being a Tegra 3 it can still do a decent job at gaming. Not having a rear camera isn't a lost since you probably won't use a tablet to take photos anyway.

Overall the 2013 version is pretty much better in all area, but the 2012 version is still good value at half the price of the 2013.
