Those patches only worked for my Nexus 4 when running Dalvik anyway, I've since moved onto ART.

Never understood why Samsung wanted to do it in the first place.

The benefits were minor, non-tech savvy consumers won't even know about them (much less care anyways), while tech-savvy users are also the ones sharp enough to recognise when the system is being gamed.

Just as well this is fixed. We can finally close the issue and move on.
