I am looking for recommendations for a tablet around $100. It is a graduation present from high school for a student. He is as smart kid and want to get him something he can use.

The one I am leaning towards is Lenovo IdeaTab A1000L 7-Inch 8 GB Tablet

thanks for any info :)

You can probably find deals for the 1st generation Nexus 7 for around $100. That would be much better than the Lenovo. Or look into the Asus Memo Pad 7 .

I agree with B Diddy. If you get a new tablet for that price it's not going to be worth the buy. Look at something good, used.

i have the 1st gen, and love it. mind you, i love my son's 2d gen more.:)

for the price, i'd imagine that the 1st gen n7, the asus memo pad, hisense sero, and a tab 3 would all get the job done.

some folks don't like 1sale because they are slow to ship, but i never have once had a problem, and i buy lots of stuff from them. they have a tab 3 refurb for 120. 8gb though, but it does take an sd card.

I agree with this, but would recommend only the Hisense Sero 7 Pro, which is the one with an HD screen and 8 GB. The cheaper non-Pro version has a non-HD screen and only 4 GB of storage, which isn't much these days.
