Previously owned the HTC One X, and the Samsung Galaxy S3. Where would you recommend I go next? I like the s5, I also like the galaxy note 3. Where would you recommend I go?

I'll admit the the size of the note 3 is intimidating... But it's also why I want it.

If you want a large phone, the note 3 is the best option

The Note 3 is the best large smartphone. It also has very good performance. And, you get the s-pen, which is great in certain situations.

I can't find much to like about that phone other than the speakers and build. The speaker grill, the black bar with the HTC logo, then the on screen buttons all stacked on top of each other? Naa

    HTC One M8

The black bar serves a functional purpose for the phone.

My list for consideration would be...

    1)Note 3

    2)Lg G2

    3)Htc M8

    4)Nexus 5

    5)S5......

I would have included and had this one first but its not available yet in the states..the sony xperia Z2.

Allows for more components to fit, HTC had a proper explanation for it.

Yep you're right. It was for the speakers, I just wish they could've, or at least technology would've allowed them to utilize all that space and just add buttons there.

I'm not sold on another HTC phone yet. My One X was great, I loved it. But it just broke down after a while, and I don't believe one update was pushed out(yes... updates...Nexus, I know.) and one thing that did bother me was the lock button on top of the phone. Why??? It's sooo much more convenient on the side. I wanna go back to HTC, but I can't convince myself to do that for TWO YEARS!!!

And to be honest, even Samsung UI is getting boring. I have yet to go with Nova/apex to switch it up. I may look Sony. But for right now Samsung is my safest fallback.

Maybe, but every time I go into a Verizon store, BestBuy....come to think of it, any type of cellular provider, I see a lot more Note devices or some sort of Galaxy than any other.....just saying.
Edit; Come to think about it ...there HOT over here as well.

You mean HTC finally made a phone they'll support until the technology becomes too much for it too handle? Pardon my sarcasm...

Yes HTC may have left a bad taste in your mouth but they have been quicker then Samsung in terms of upgrades.
