Default which tablet, OS allow moving apps to SD?

    Hello,

I need to soon replace my rooted JellyBean Acer, and could use some suggestions. I'm looking for:

    -- (1) a moderate-priced tablet (under $200) with
-- (2) an OS that allows moving apps to the SD card, not just media or links, and
    -- (3) that's rootable.
    -- (4) A USB port is preferred.

That's pretty much it: I'm not a high-end gamer, I seldom view videos on the tablet, I don't particularly need a rear-view camera.

    Is this do-able? Suggestions? Thanks!!

Counter question: How much space do you have free on your current tablet?

As long as it has SD, I don't get what the point would be putting apps on SD. I can't think of any situation where you would need to do this or would even want to do this. I can't think of any combination of apps that would max out 32 gigs of space.

Even if the goal was to steal app APKs, you could do that easily just by rooting. Moving to SD will not save you space or make anything faster.

I have a 1.6 GB free out of 8 GB. In the meantime, my SD card is nearly empty. I have all of the Angry Birds games loaded, and a few other things, and get warnings that I'm running out of space. I'll clear out the caches, etc, but next time around, if I could move apps to the SD card, it'd be much handier. Thx.

And at least some devices using JB (like mine).

I have an 8 GB tablet and get low storage warnings. The device IS rooted but Link2SD (and other similar apps) are prevented from moving apps to the SD card, only some of the data associated w the apps (and that's not much). If one could take advantage of the SD card to store apps, one could buy a cheaper lower-storage device.

I would suggest getting a device with higher storage as opposed to an SD card. About 4 GB will always be needed for the OS. So a 16 GB will get you about 3 times the space.

Thanks. If apps aren't movable w the JB and KK OSs, I guess I'll have to.
