So my BF, who has absolutely no respect at all for technology and treats devices like a dog would a chew toy, has managed to mangle my TF300 Transformer tablet. These are not surface scratches, and you can easily feel them running your fingers over the surface. Here is a broad shot followed by close ups of the biggest ones.

Some things you should know first:

    • I am not interesting in temporary solutions like Vaseline. I am interested more about the feel than seeing the scratch. But I want a permanent solution.
    • I am not interested in any solution than involves screen protectors. I want to repair the glass (at least as much as is possible)
    • I do accept I might not be able to remove them completely, but I'd still be interested in solutions that might reduce the severity.

If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it.

That will not remove these scratches.

I have seen some sites claim that adding a screen protector actually will remove the scratch. The adhesive apparently fills in cracks when you apply the protector.

I hate the plastic feel of those things though. I'd rather live with the scratches if it came to that.

Wasn't paying to much attention to the pics and it's the screen (Homer Moment)

Perhaps that may work worth a try :-)

If your concern with screen protectors is the plactic feel, you might consider one made of glass. They feel the same as having no screen protector. That's what I put on mine after it acquired some small scratches.

Regarding repairing the glass: I don't have a solution but if I were in your shoes I'd be inclined to stop in a place that repairs windshield chips and ask what they use or even see if they will fill the scratches for you. I don't know if their methods are appropriate for a tablet but it is the only idea I can think of for now.
