Anker Astro Mini review and Giveaway!
Today I will be doing a review for the Anker Astro Mini external battery. You will also have a chance to win this device I am reviewing! I will be doing a review on three aspects. Build quality, Ease of use, and Overall thoughts. After the review will be instructions on how to win this! So let's get started...
As soon as I opened the box and checked it out, it felt very good in the hands. The material has some kind of matte/metal feeling to it and seems extremely well built. The USB cable it came with seemed to be just like any other cables but it also wasn't one of those extremely cheap cables that would break very easily. According to the manual it also has a highly well made Samsung battery cell inside, so you can be rest assured nothing bad will happen to the battery itself.
Ease of Use
Using this device is very simple and doesn't require much learning at all. Just simply plug in your phone's cable (if not the same as the one provided) into the device and the other end of the cable to your phone. Press the ON button and you should see a green light go on. Then your phone is charging. The Anker Astro Mini has a battery capacity of 3000mAh. Which is more than enough for most smartphones to be able to charge at least once. When you're done charging the phone simply unplug your phone and the battery should turn off by itself in about 5 seconds. To know if the battery still has a charge simply press the on button and a green light will turn on for 5 seconds, indicating that there is a charge. If it is low or out of battery, simply use the cable provided and connect it to the microusb port on the battery itself and the other end to a computer or wall adapter. It should then start charging.
So this is a very useful thing to have if you are out and about all the time, mainly in places that don't have a wall outlet. At the store and need to make a call but low battery? No problem. On the train/bus but can't watch that youtube video because you have 1% battery? No Problem. Forgot to charge it last night? No problem! Grab it and go (make sure it's charged though..) and you won't need to worry about that any longer. It's very small and lightweight where you can just stick it in your pockets without hindering you. It has enough juice to last you throughout the day if need be. I would highly suggest getting this if you often find yourself looking for an outlet and/or carrying a usb cable and wall adapter everywhere you go.
