Default Will gingerbread be released on december 6th?

So what's up with the release date? Will andy rubin be presenting the new android version on monday (6th december)? I heard they will release it like 20 december, but that can't be it right? Eric Schmidt said in a couple of weeks, when he was interviewed at web 2.0 summit.

if anything, the SDK could be released. Actual software can't be released until the SDK and kernel source is published.

Yeah it's just a waiting game, but unless you're using a current AOSP ROM you most likely will be unlikely to get Gingerbread anyway!

i was just browsing over notion ink's blog and this line is in their latest blog post.

6th December is another big day for Android and you will find out how fast Notion Ink can work. (Eden is extremely compatible with 2.3)
check it out for yourself on

seems like a 2.3 announcement might be coming tomorrow.
