Hello- so I currently have an iPhone 5s and Im having a hard time deciding between the S6 or 6 plus. I haven't had a good experience with an android phone but I've never had a Samsung before. I wanted to try an android again but this time a Samsung but I'm slightly hesitant. So for the people that converted from iPhone to Samsung, what are pros and cons of having a Samsung as opposed to iPhone? And why did you stay with Samsung phone?

I had an I Phone 4S. Suited my taste at the time. Got really tired of being married to I Tunes. Did not like that I was locked in to one particular file type. Could not down load just anything to my tunes without a long conversion process. Just really did not like Apple telling me what I could and could not do with a device that was mine that I bought and paid for. With Android, I am free to "tech" around all I want. Extra storage, multiple range of file types. Customization of my icons and home screen......all without losing access to my favorite apps and the functionality of a nice camera app and the ability to make the phone truly MINE. I love the freedom of working through a technical issue and find out that a few tweeks here and there makes my phone run sooo much better. However, at first I wondered what I was thinking. The challenges and unknowns of this new device were rather scary. But after a week or two, I can truthfully say, I am never going back!! Bub Bye Felecia, I mean Apple!! Samsung forever!

1. Personalization on android exists, doesn't on iphone
2. Battery life
3. Removable battery
4. I Detest the control iPhone exerts, iMessages, I still can't get some group messages because I am still stuck in imessage hell.
I will never own another iPhone, it's the principle....

I went from a 4s to a s3. And HATED IT. I could toss out cuss word after cuss word but I think you get the point. If you know what lag is you will hate Samsung. ( maybe its better on a s6 ) note 4 had tons of lag. After the s3 went to a iPhone 5 loved it then 5c for 3 months. It was so so. Battery life sucked. Now I am on a nexus 6. I would put this just behind my 4s and above my iPhone 5. But its falling below that quick. Apps don't seem to work as well on android. I never noticed how much I use to use face time. Skype etc isn't the same. Also i m not a huge camera person but would always take quick snaps well leaving the house or driving down the road. Cans do that on a android phone i do LOVE. NOT NEEDING WiFi to upload HD videos to YouTube and to back up my phone among other things. I would take a few days and think. What do YOU! Use your phone for. I myself will prob go back to s iPhone I'll make it the 7 as I'm guessing the 6s won't be that big of a change

S6 - no replaceable battery and no external SD card. The S5 and Note 4 still have them.

That's the TouchWiz launcher. You don't have to run the stock launcher with Android. There are fancier ones, there are faster ones, etc.

Apps don't seem to work as well on android.
Good apps do, but Google doesn't "vet" apps, they just allow anything that doesn't violate their guidelines (illegal activity, porn, etc.) to be put in the Play Store, even if the app itself doesn't work.

I do it all the time. If you have the camera app (or apps - I have several, depending on what's needed for the shot) on the default homescreen, it's a simple tap, aim, tap. The only faster device is my Fuji camera, if it's turned on - then it's just aim, press.

The only thing I'm concerned about an android is the security and the reputation that it gets "laggy" after awhile.

But you don't have to mess with all that stuff with a iPhone. The saying is old and dates back to what 2009? The phone just works. Some ppl don't want to deal with fixing and downloading and shutting off this or that. I have done more searches on why my nexus does something I don't want it to than I have ever done on a iPhone. I remember asking a question about locations on my nexus and had 20 replys of. You need to shut this down or is that running? Or go to this>this>this>type that> than go to this>. Why am I fixing a multi billion dollar companies os?
