How can I recover deleted messages, contacts from my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S6)

I met a big problem, I was composing a message and the phone got stuck when I was about to select the recipients. After waiting for a while the phone was still not responding then I forced to shut down and turned it on again. Okay I again edited the same text and tap to choose receivers. Good grief! NO CONTACTS and MESSAGES! EMPTY! Why? What happened?

So, how can I recover deleted or lost contacts, messages on Android (Samsung S6)

Welcome to Android Central! Were your contacts associated with your Google account (and therefore synced with the cloud), or only locally stored on the Phone account? It's always wise to associate your contacts with your Google account, because if anything happens to the phone, your contacts are still safe in your Google Contacts in the cloud.
