Will Allo replace your current messaging app?

It's a nice app but I can't even convince my hangouts-only friends to try it.

No. I use sms almost exclusively.

I never thought of that come to think about it, being able to launch Google search and send pictures to your contact I would imagine it would use data instead of SMS allowance. Not really sure now

WhatsApp is only a SMS app as it is only good with pure text messaging and doesn't have much features.

This is a cool app, but I don't think I'll remove hangouts just yet. Especially, considering it can only be installed on one device at a time.

I've convinced a couple people to use it, but others are iPhone users and I'm never going to convince them to use it... but either way, one of use is going to have to keep switching between two apps to communicate with one another without the SMS fallback.

Very frustrating and disappointing.
