Is the Google Cardboard V2 worth it?

I have an S4 with a five inch screen. I really want the google cardboard, but I don't know if I should get the second or first gen model. The price isn't really the factor as there is really only a $10 price difference. I can deal with building if I get the first gen. The only real difference I know of besides the building steps is the maneuvers used to control it. The first gen being a washer and the second gen being something like a button. Is it worth getting the second gen cardboard if I don't have the first?

Yeah, bigger lenses reduce the tunnel effect which is a big plus. Definitely worth spending a few extra bucks for a noticably better experience IMO.
