I plugged my Chromecast into the HDMI input on my Vizio Costar. It seems to work just fine, now I've got the best of both worlds. The Chromecast does Netflix and Google Play videos better than the Costar, and the Costar does Plex. Between those 3 video sources I'm 100% covered for all of my video watching needs.
Hopefully Plex will gain Chromecast support in the near future, allowing me to switch 100% over to the Chromecast.
