How can I get EQ or DSP for my mp3 collection played through Chromecast?

Just got a Chromecast and it's amazing! Works great, no stuttering, perfect. EXCEPT...
My mp3's sound crappy. Meaning that I've always processed them through an equalizer or dynamic expander or some form of DSP that would make them sound more like my original CD's. I've tried many PC and Android based players and none of them appears to be able to process the sound before casting it to Chromecast. Some would respond that I should just handle the effects in hardware (like my receiver). But I don't want to process ALL sounds, just my mp3's (and in an ideal world, only some of them).

Has anyone found a way to do this for better mp3 sound (either on PC or Android)???

Casting doesn't go through any apps (unless you're using Chromecast, in which case that's the only app it goes through). Until someone finds an API they can hook to process the sound being cast (or Google provides one), you're going to have to do it at the TV end.
