can I have more than 1 chromecast on a network

can't get to my unit,says no wi fi when go to the app.There is another unit on my wi-fi also the chrome cast gets very warm,is this normal?

Welcome to Android Central! Yes, you can have multiple Chromecasts on the same network.

Is the first Chromecast plugged into a power source? Is the light on the Chromecast on or off? Does the Chromecast app on your phone even list the first Chromecast, or are you saying that the phone can't even connect to your wi-fi network?

Which Chromecast is getting warm--the first one that isn't connecting, or the second one?
