Stream using Chrome cast app to tivo?

I just got tivo installed in my home (Canadian cogeco version). Now, I have more options to stream from my phone other than the TV I have with chrome cast installed. Low and behold, it works!!! I can stream YouTube and Netflix from my phone using the chrome cast icon to my tivo box. Anyone else discover this?

Welcome to Android Central! Is that HDMI input on the Tivo box that you have the Chromecast plugged into just act as a kind of pass-thru to the TV? Or can you actually record what you're casting to the Tivo?

No...there is no chrome cast installed on the TV in question. I've got one in the bedroom and in the den....but the family room TV doesn't have one. But I'm now able to stream to that family room TV. Tivo does have YouTube and Netflix installed already. Somehow the phone can trigger those apps via the cast button.
