    Default Desire vs. Nexus One

So, with all the talk about T-Mobile's "Project Emerald", a lot of people are saying that Big Magenta may get the Desire. I know that the two phones are almost twins, but I was hoping someone could give me some pros and cons of each, as well as an opinion on which to get, should Emerald actually end up being the Desire.

Basically they're the same phone with a few differences:

    Nexus One
    Dimensions: 119×59.8×11.5mm
    Weight: 130g
    RAM: 512MB
    Bluetooth: 2.0
    FM Radio: No
    4 Command Keys: Touch
    Scroller: Lighted Scrollball

    Desire
    Dimension: 119×60x11.9.mm
    Weight: 135g
    RAM: 576MB
    Bluetooth: 2.1
    FM Radio: Yes
    4 Command Keys: Physical
    Scroller: Optical Tracker

Nexus One also has 2 mics for noise cancellation, which the Desire does not have. Desire has 2.1 Sense UI and the Nexus One doesn't.

IMO they're basically the same phone. Just root your Nexus One and put the Desire UI on it and you have a Desire.

Also forgot to mention, that both have 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive touch screen and 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.

One thing to think about too, is that the Nexus One maybe one of the first units to receive firmware updates being that it is the "flagship" for android phones if you choose not to root your phone. Firmware updates may take a bit longer for HTC Sense phones, but I wouldn't think it would be THAT long.

You forgot that the Nexus One may gain use of the FM radio in the next release. Its in the hardware, just not used.
