    Default Gmail options

I just started using the nexus one again with a prepaid plan to test out coverage of a different carrier.

It still runs 2.3.6 and Gmail appears to be limited compared to the app in iOS. What are other users using in place of the stock Gmail app?

I assume Gmail is better with newer devices running newer Android OSes.

Still using my N1 until my N4 arrives next week. Still using the native Gmail app on 2.3.6

But ya, Gmail on 4.0 and above is great (v4.2 I think). I have it on my N7 and I like it a lot.

It's too bad that the Nexus one is limited with internal storage because the new Google apps use up the space. I had to uninstall updates in order to get other apps to work. I'm sure installing cyanogenmod would help delete built in apps and move more to the sdcard.
