So I was getting an error everytime I tried to sign in to my YouTube account. The error kept asking me to re-enter my password. I would re-enter it an nothing would happen. So I called nexus support and a few people were having the same problems. Here is what we did:
1. Go to applications
2. Manage applications
3. Then hit the menu soft key, filter, select all
4. Go to You tube at the bottom
5. Clear the cache and data
6. Go back to the YouTube app and enter your Google account info

Since your Google account and YouTube account are linked, it will let you right in.

It's never happened to me on the Nexus One but that did happen to me on my Droid. Thanks for posting!

I had to reset my phone and ran in to this exact problem. I followed what you posted and it worked perfectly. Thank you so much.
