Hello All,

I have been unsuccessful at being able to connect the Google Nexus 10 tablet to my laptop running Windows 8 Retail Enterprise. When I connect the device to the laptop I don't get the MTP popup (asking me what would I like to do) however it correctly recognizes it as Nexus 10, lists it under the Devices section in the Control Panel and also lists it under the "Android Device" category in the device manager as "Android ADB Interface". However there is nothing under the Portable Devices category which is the one of the basic requirements for MTP to work correctly on the Windows 8 platform as listed on MSDN on "Windows 8 MTP - Core Compliance Tests".

Anyone else having the same issue ?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Re: Nexus 10 MTP Windows 8

1. uncheck USB debugging from developer option if you have enabled it. if not skip it

2. go to Settings-->Storage-->Menu(Three dots on top right)-->USB mass Storage-->Check MTP

try again

1. I don't see the Developer options in settings panel in the tablet. I know where it should be since it's there on my phone.
2. Already had checked the MTP option. :(
