Missing Users Option Under Settings
Hey guys. I just got a new Nexus 10. I am looking to set up multiple user accounts for it, but when I go to Settings -> Device, there is not an option for users. I've seen screenshots where it should be, but it's not there. I ran the latest updates and verified it has Android 4.2.
Do I need to do something first? Am I missing something?

post a screenshot of settings page.

Weird, is your Google account setup? I see Facebook, it's below that if so.
Re: Missing Users Option Under Settings
You are on 4.2, you should be on 4.2.1. Check for an update.

This is the correct answer. You have to update the tablet to 4.2.1 to get multiple user access.
Re: Missing Users Option Under Settings
Well that was my initial reaction but multiple users was introduced in 4.2, no? 4.2.1 was pushed for the "December" fix, I thought.

you are right 4.2.1 was just to fix december bug and enabled some controller function.
4.2 with older build number didn't enable multiuser. later Google released the same 4.2 with a new build and that enabled multi user.
so to OP. update to latest version
Re: Missing Users Option Under Settings
JVP15P is OP's build which is still 4.2
JOP40C is the latest 4.2 build which enabled multiuser
not sure about the build number of 4.2.1
Re: Missing Users Option Under Settings
Ok, I'm on JOP40C so that makes sense. I see OP is on JVP15P.

Thanks still1. I'm sure that's it.
Now this turns into a new question. I ran a system update when I first got it, and it said it was updating to 4.2.1.
Now when I run system updates it says I am up to date. Anything I should try?

See this thread for someone else with the same problem. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] The OP in that thread hasn't replied back if the fix worked or not, but I assume it did. Maybe you could message the OP and see if all is well.

whats your build number now?
Re: Missing Users Option Under Settings
I had to restore the tablet, but after that I was able to successfully install the update and I'm working just fine. Build number is JOP40D
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ANYONE DOING THIS: After the tablet was wiped, I immediately tried to install an update. It said I was up to date and this worried me. After about 5 minutes I got a notification informing me the update had been downloaded and was ready to install. Just so you don't worry like I did.
