I wouldn't delete folders, as you can see it can have some bad effects. Just delete the files themselves if you need to.

This is from me, on my EVO 3D.

Yeah that sucks but emulator is the part of the naming tree (i.e. like an emulated storage card) for your storage. As per everyone else, you just deleted everything by accident.

I can only venture a guess that you had more selected thatn you thought when you deleted those folders. Sadly I'm going to have to say User Error is the likely culprit.

Simple rule that applies to almost anything : if you don't know what it's for, leave it alone!

How did you even get to system folder over USB connection? I thought this tablet only supported MPT direct to the virtual SD card?

Either way, it's never a good idea to delete stuff if you don't know what it is. A few years back I was doing IT support for an office, and one guy there was trying to free up storage on his laptop...so he proceeded to delete "a bunch of weird files in that Windows folder". Needless to say his laptop never booted again, until we re-imaged it of course. Why they gave those folks admin rights is beyond me...

Yup, "this".

It's 'emulated' not 'emulator', and as y2whisper points out its part of the 'tree'. Which is another way of saying its tied into the fundamental navigation structure (think of it as shortcuts to real locations.) So essentially you ran a delete command pointed against a whole lot of needed files!

Like someone else noted, I'm surprised it actually allowed you to delete this - but maybe it only deleted the non-system stuff like your media.

I haven't tried it on a Android device, but if this was a plain old digital camera you could try an undelete utility.

I sympathize with you, but the silver lining is you now know a pitfall that you will never have to suffer through again! :)

Thanks Mates, sigh
its because I had a Folder named emulator for the games I downloaded for Gameboy, NDS and PSP
so after getting bored with those games i deleted the games then the folder named emulator...which turned out to be the whole system

Now its okay, good thing I had those movies backed up in my ext. harddrive. .sucks that I had to redownload all the games I placed inside the tablet

not to mention the settings and the porn ;)

Yes but it takes a very long time to download 1GB+ porn here in the philippines...the net here sucks donkey ***. 1MB TOPS

I wouldn't worry about the porn. There's always an endless supply of that. ;-)
