Boot loop and encryption clicking

My Nexus 10 has had the boot loop issue. I now have encryption turned on. Whenever it does a soft boot (once a day or so), it stops at the encryption sign-in screen.
It then sits there, turned on, clicking every 3 seconds waiting for me to put my pin in.

While this behavior actually stops it from boot looping, the fact that it turns on and stays on is not good.
The clicking sound is annoying, but the fact that it stays on, drains my battery, and builds up a lot of heat in my backpack or case is very troubling.

Unlike the boot loop, this almost never happens when I'm using it. It pretty much always happens when it's sleeping.

This is a virgin build. No unlocks, cracks or anything like that.
