Maybe think twice about Liquipel before you go for it. Choice AU have just published their Shonky awards and Liquipel has received one for misleading claims about their coating. Type in Shonkys and Liqupel into a search to see what i mean. Sounds like it is not worth paying for.

I've wondered about Liquipel and similar products since they first came out, but they've all been priced higher than I'd like (in general, higher than a replacement plan that would protect from drops as well!), and wondered if it was possible to simply soak a phone in a nonconductive polymer like Rain-X or coat the conductive surfaces with dielectric grease to help protect the electronics.

Never dared try it, though. ;)
