I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

I just hate waiting. Has anyone ordered from google before? How long does it realy take?

Hey Phil, no questions really, just hoping you will be able to post the review before the release date. Next week would be perfect! ;)

I had my Galaxy Nexus ADB drivers working on Windows from day one!
I think you'll find that you're in the minority, the proliferation of posts on various Android forums relating to getting both the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus connected to PCs is proof of this.

I have no issue with my drivers on windows 7 and now Windows 8

Does Android 4.2 with Chrome as the default browser mean that we won't be able to get Flash working on Nexus 4? Or, can we still download the old browser and hack in Flash?

You don't need to "try out" other carriers. I have VZW and also use straightalk and simple mobile (which use t-mobile and att networks). Your fear of "others" is likely exaggerated. the nationwide advantage of VZW and ATT is widely exaggerated. Of course, where you live and travel matter most, but in general the MVNO's work just fine. I have 4G LTE and its availability is not that great today (i live in NYC midtown)

Does 4.2 have a quick way of checking battery percentage?

And I'm still curious, how do deep blacks look on the super lcd screen?

In the video posted by the Verge showing off Google Now, it looked like there was a card that was tracking miles running and bicycling.

Are there some features in Google Now on 4.2 that still aren't available on 4.1? I definitely couldn't find an option that looked remotely similar to what I saw in that video, even after the update.

Also, how does swipe-typing compare to Swype?

Also, you're awesome for doing this.

The swipe-typing is pretty fantastic (Galaxy Nexus) and it doesn't have the lag that Swype has sometimes, I'm sure it's better on the Nexus[sup]4[/sup] because it's faster

I'm a Canadian interested in the nexus 4. Are their any alternatives to purchasing the device other than the play store? Any big chain retailers be selling this device on launch date? I'd rather see it and play with it before I buy but would also like to get it ASAP. And I can avoid shipping charges. It's extremely annoying typing on this forum on my cell. Can't zoom out to see the entire text box.

I had a very good experience with Expansys USA when I ordered my Galaxy Nexus from them (I live in Toronto as well). Ordered it on a Wednesday morning and it was delivered the next day by noon. I don't see the Nexus 4 for preorder on their site right now but that could change in a few days (they have the Nexus 7 (32GB+HSPA) on there). As for trying before you buy, you're pretty much SOL unless you want to check out mine when I get it :D

I'll be a GSM rookie. Is it a micro sim or a regular sim card that I order from t-mobile?
I want to get it ahead of time so it's ready to pop in when I get the phone.
