New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

I still have the box my Galaxy Nexus shipped in and the packing slip that came with it. Google has a Pkt Ctrl # on the invoice. That same number also appears on the shipping label. However, it seems Google creates a unique one for either each customer or each shipment/order. I used the UPS reference search with that number. Over the past few months in all of the US only one shipment matches that Pkt Ctrl #: my Galaxy Nexus shipment. Looks like another dead end in the search for more information.

I'm a pretty die hard Google/android fan, I've owned 7 android phones in the last 3 years.

But, this entire experience has been down right pathetic and has me second guessing if I should be using any Google services or products at all. If it's this hard for them to keep track of some orders, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in using gmail/wallet to store my important data. My place is in escrow and possible closing as early as this Friday or maybe sometime early the next week. When I ordered(at 8:36am) I figured even with 7 business days I would have the phone no later than Wednesday, and it was in-stock; not available for pre-order....I called CS and they said I'd have a shipping confirmation email by tomorrow, which led me to have a little faith. Then, the second I got off the phone I received an email stating I'd have within the next 3 week window, WTF?! Downright lying and being deceptive is not a way to run a business, whether it's their "main thing" or not. Apparently they need to hire some Amazon or Apple employees who don't have their heads in their asses and can actually slap a sticker on a box and ship it off; it's not rocket science. Like others have mentioned, put the orders in an excel sheet and order by timestamp and work your way down the list..wow hard.

GL to everyone and I hope you get some morsel of info.

I wouldn't get upset of that discrepancy. The CS reps are in the dark as much as we are, and those emails are auto-generated and not accurate.

Yea I get what your saying but. Its been pretty much determined that the CSR know nothing more than we do. they can't really ship in a first in first out way it's just not practical. What isn't right is people who ordered first getting back ordered. When the orders came in it should have electronically sat a phone aside.

So I just bought an S3 on ebay with a 64gb sd card included. Once my pissed level hit 128,000 I blacked out and woke up an hour later covered in blood. I was initially going to try both phones and make a decision but I am edging closer and closer to just selling the N4 if I ever get it since I am sure I couldn't cancel it if I wanted to.

Fun fact, I've noticed a few of you guys saying your order date changed to Nov 17th mine is still set to the 15th however the Nexus 7 I ordered back in August changed to Nov. 17th. ONE big cluster-fu** watch, any amount of money says they'll send me a nexus 7 now.

Is Sylmar, CA a shipping hub?
Also anyone know how much one phone weighs shipped?

My order was actually for a Nexus 7, not an N4, but have been following this thread religiously because nobody seemed to be talking much about shipping issues over at the N7 forum. However, my order issues have been pretty much the same as you guys', so I thought I'd share a tidbit of info that might be encouraging to some.

My order went through 11:44 EST on Nov 13, received confirmation e-mail about an hour later. Google Play showed a "shipping estimate" of Nov 15, order remained "pending" in Wallet, all the way up to this past Saturday evening at around 6:30pm when I received a shipping / tracking information e-mail and the date on my Google Play started showing up as November 17 with "shipped" as the status.

I'm hoping that in your cases, those of you who have had the dates changed to Nov 17 have shipments en route. I'm still p**sed at Google, but at least I know what the heck is going on now. My tablet is originating from Louisville, KY, currently in Lexington, and scheduled to arrive in Toronto on Nov 21 (UPS 2-day shipping, my a**).

Good luck, everyone.

Well...here's an update. My order date just changed to November 19th, status still shows to ship on the 15th. I guess something is better then nothing. Google wallet still hasn't shown any updates what so ever. Really lame....I did not place my order today (-_-)

Just an update:

Still in Limbo.. order processed 8:35AM for 2x 16GB Nexus4 and 1 bumper. No Play Store status changes, no backorder email, multiple calls to CSR, no change, no idea. Crossing my fingers for something to happen Mon or Tue.

Yeah, my order got updated to Nov. 19. Hopefully this means that it will ship today. I'm crossing my fingers!

I'm hoping the same, although they do take 2-3 days to process, then 2 days to ship. That means shipped out Wednesday or Friday, won't recieve it until Monday or Tuesday next week. BUT if for some ODD reason it decides to ship tomorrow, that would be great. Lol.

just got off the phone with CSR and if you have not received a back order email then they do have a phone set aside for you and your phone will ship tomorrow. they said that for some reason it is taking them a long time to get all of the early orders processed.

3 to 5 days to process and if you ordered on Nov 13th then the 5th day would be tuesday. We need it to ship today or tuesday to get it before turkey day or wait until next week I would guess which would suck. My order has updated to Nov 19th but I ordered on Nov 13th.
