New Nexus 4 purchase: Anyone get a shipping notification or tracking number?

I just spoke with CS again. She told me in no uncertain terms that the word has come down from above that EVERYONE who ordered Nexus phones on the 13th will be receiving them TOMORROW, November 20th.

She insisted that this was accurate information.

She went on to say that it may take a few days for billing to catch up but the devices would definitely arrive tomorrow. This may go along with some earlier (supposed) CS comments indicating that the problems were on the billing end of the system.

I just talked to one that said that they hadn't even sent any information to the shipper yet. So then I asked if they would be at least reimbursing the shipping & handling costs, he definitively said no, because it was still within 3-5 business days. LOL. They haven't done anything for 6 days and now they're going to get their act together and take care of everything tonight :-\

I swear I am not making this up. As many of you know, I have been persistent in calling CS - three times today alone.

I spoke with Nicole. I suggest a few more of you who have not received a back order email (maybe that makes a difference, I don't know) call and see if you are told the same thing.

PS: I was also told that shipping charges would be rebated for all late shipments which I understood to mean outside the original "2 days processing plus 2 days shipping" window. S

She did say that they had "just got the word" so maybe it is still filtering out to all CS reps.

One more email received at 18:10 est... and by the way i sent them an email on thursday and got a response very soon... never expected express customer service from google when others only offer regular customer service..

If you haven't already received a shipping confirmation email that contains the tracking number, you should receive one by end of day today. Follow up email just received:

I just called Google for sh*ts n giggles for an status update on my order. "Jessica" even asked if I received a backorder email or not (I did.). She said to be on the lookout for the tracking info today or tomorrow but I'll be receiving it this week. Emphasis on "this week".

*insert eyeroll here*

I've had faster response times from bootleggers mah last time I go legit..... I knew I should have went in $100 on that stolen UPS shipment of nexus 4s (joking)

Nice... hope they follow through, but this whole process has left me jaded.

Me too. I told her that I would be very happy to come home tomorrow and find my phones at the doorstep but will be even more angry if I do not. She was like I understand, but this is official information and they will definitely be there.

Tonight should be fun if they start sending out tracking info. I just emailed them to get an update on status... I'll see what they say, if they even say anything back.

But there are 2 people now who have pretty much the same thing being said to them "Tracking info today/tomorrow and phone arrive tomorrow"

I just got off the phone and got the same statement from a CSR named Tommy. He said that he just got word that if an order has been placed and you haven't received a backorder email you will be getting the device tomorrow. So that is making it seem like a more legitimate response. I suggest if you are in limbo, call google up and ask about when you can expect the phone and if you can get update on it.

Just called a CSR - got the same information; shipping right now will arrive tomorrow. Canadian orders are shipping tomorrow per the CSR.
