Called CSR if anything just to keep those clueless turds busy, the lady was actually pretty upfront and bascially said "look you guys need to get a life stop worrying about a damn phone" j/k what she really said was "Obviously we sold more than what we had in stock" so I asked "I'm just curious if I'll have to wait 3 weeks I haven't got the backorder email" she replied "If you haven't got that email, you should be good [then she checks] looks like there was movement on your account today [b/c my wallet date changed to Nov. 19th] so I can forsure tell you that your phone will ship this week."

What google should have done was take the money they are paying the support for google play and invest that in more devices this would solve 80% of their phone calls if not more.

You're not getting your phone this week. CSR can't tell you that because they don't have access to that info. Plus what about "we sold more than we had in stock" and "your phone will ship this week" makes sense?

Has this happened to anyone else?

When I access my Google Play account in Chrome it shows " Ship estimated date: November 15th 2012.

When I access my Google Play account in Internet Explorer it shows "Delivery estimated date: November 15th 2012.

English - UK = "Delivery"
English - US = "Shipping"

You can change the language at the bottom of the play store page.

Guy on the phone said my package is waiting for UPS to attach a tracking number to it. Wtf does that mean? Waiting on a truck to start the delivery?

He lied, he probably said your tracking email will come by the end of the day. Then you call them the next day and they finally have the balls to tell you if you didn't receiving shipping by now, its on back order. Finally it ends with you (╯?□?)╯︵ ┻━┻.

I ordered 2 phones at : November 13, 2012 11:47:45 AM UTC-5 and have received nothing sense then. I called this morning and the lady told me that it was moved to back order and I wouldnt have to pay for shipping. Google Wallet still has not reflected this change. Ill probably call back later and see if I get another answer or something.

I got my order in pretty fast. I had an auto-refresh script going, and within a minute I was totally checked out and got my receipt confirming it. That's the last email I got about it. I called today, and the CS rep spoke to her supervisor and was told to tell me that even if I haven't gotten a backorder email (which I did not), it still might take up to 3 weeks for it to ship.

Nothing here on my end has changed, looks like I will have to stop at a T-Mobile store and either buy a N4 or something else as there is no way I can live with the Motorola RAZR V3R I'm rocking right now... LOL

I sold my Gnex to someone on eBay and had to ship that out last Friday. :-(

screw you google....

Thanks for contacting Google Play regarding cancellation of your order. All orders are processed directly after your purchase is complete. As a result, this means that there is a very short window of time to cancel an order prior to shipping.

Although we attempted to honor your request, we were unable to cancel your order in this window. There are a couple of options now:

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ACCESS THE SHIPPING ADDRESS-

If you (or a known acquaintance) are able to access the shipping address, your package is scheduled to arrive there. If you no longer want the package, you can refuse the unopened package from the shipper and Google will issue you a refund. You can read the instructions for refusing delivery for your location below.

In the U.S. and Canada:

If your device has not yet been delivered, it is en route, and you may be able to REFUSE DELIVERY (see instructions below). If your device has been delivered, you may still be able to refund delivery of unopened packages within 5 days of delivery. To do so, contact our shipper directly to schedule a pick up of your package. Make sure to let them know that the pickup is specifically because you're refusing delivery. If your device was delivered more than 5 days ago, but you would like to return it, please follow the returns process posted at: Refunds, returns & replacements - Google Play Help

In the UK and Australia:

If your device has not yet been delivered, it is en route, and you may be able to REFUSE DELIVERY (see instructions at bottom of this message). If your device has been delivered, but you would like to return it, please follow the returns process posted at: Refunds, returns & replacements - Google Play Help

REFUSE DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: Don't open the package. Our shipper will not allow refusal of delivery for opened packages. Leave a prominent note on the door to let our shipping provider know that you're refusing delivery of the package. In some cases our shipping provider has returned packages if their drivers see a note for refusal of delivery. The note should include the following:

- Refuse delivery
- Return to Sender
- Include signature
- Include tracking #

If your package is returned due to refusal of delivery, your order will be cancelled and refunded within 2 weeks.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS-

If your device is being shipped to an address you cannot access, please reply to this email and we will work on trying to contact the shipper about the change of address. We cannot guarantee that we can stop shipment for your order.

Spoke to the CSR again. This time it seems they actually think there was somthing wrong with my order as it has been in the "Chargeable" state since ever and the rep says that what she sees on screen is that my order has been sped up to the shipping department and that I will get a reply back in 24hrs or something. This is exactly what i was told right before i hung up on a call to CSR 20 mins before the last one. She says the sped was done at like 9:30 am or somthing which was like 5 hrs ago. That was when i was told that they have run out of all the phones.

Edit: Just got an email that my case has been given to a specialist and he will be handeling it now, dont know what that means now. Will keep this thread updated.

Tell them that it is a nice story.... and that i will donate 2 cents for speeding it up...

*wow* specialist in telling advanced stories?.... is it going to be a sequel the jurassic park story which csr's told? or is it completely different like Godzilla with different characters involved? or much more advanced as Jurassic park 3D?

So if they have "specialists" just sitting around handling random orders, why are they not properly taking over control over the fact that this is one huge cluster****?

My guess is their specialist is a code word for paper shredder. :p
