Well, given that we're on Androidcentral, I think it's fair to say all the complaining here will be related to first world problems. Goes without saying! lol

It's walking around using a Motorola RAZR V3R as my daily driver that is driving me insane!
ROFL, continue the discussion? lol....seriously its useless to even discuss about someone who doesn't really care to communicate what went wrong and apologize for the way it was handled.. "Last ordered, first shipped"
This whole delay really wouldn't be an issue for me had I not sold my Galaxy Nexus after I confirmed my order of the Nexus 4. Had I not done that, I would be perfectly fine waiting for the N4, but my lack of having a phone now is what really causes this to be a much dire situation than me having to have the latest and greatest, I'm not that hung up on that aspect of this transaction.

This thread is so entertaining to read. I'm waiting as well for my Nexus 4 that I ordered, but I can't believe how insane some people are acting over not getting their phone, right now! First world problems...For those that are providing useful information about any updates, thank you for that and I appreciate it.
Just got off the phone with a CSR asking why I just received an email saying my Nexus 4 would be delivered in the "3 week time frame".

This is playing out exactly as I predicted on Friday. I had really wished I would be wrong.I think it's clear the tactic now for Google is to hold out and stall until Monday with the "in the window" line knowing they'll miss it. Then when people call to complain they'll string them along for another three days "it should go out by Wednesday." At that point they'll be up against the holiday and can use that as an excuse, buying them time to get additional inventory to solve the mess. My guess is a conservative estimate of when we'll see our devices is November 28-30.
The truly odd thing is not a single major tech blog is covering this Google fiasco. Blogs like Engadget, Verge and Slashgear have just mentioned about backorder, but nothing about how orders placed as early as 8:30 haven't shipped yet or how the CSR are just giving bogus answers. If this fiasco would have happened at iPhone 5 launch everyday we would have read headlines like 'Apple messed Up', 'iPhone customers still waiting for answers'. And there would have been many articles about how Apple doesn't care about customers and just profit.
Why no one is cover Google like that?
If someone would cover this fiasco properly Google might come under-pressure to get their act right and solve the problem.
Google may own the smartphone market, but the reality of it is this phone won't even make a dent compared to the sales of the iPhone 5 or the GS3. In the past, none of the Nexus devices have ever made that much of an impact. Maybe that will change from here on and that might be why Google was unprepared. I'd like to know just how many are really affected by all this. I would venture a guess of 50k
EDIT: Even so, I'm sure those sites will post something about it at some point. It will probably just take a little longer since we're technically still under a week from the launch date.

Nexus 4 is the flagship Android phone and more than sales its about what Android universe has to offer, so this fiasco looks very bad. Also, if it was Apple this news would have been reported on last Wednesday, not a week after the launch. I want every site to cover this fiasco so that Google would come under pressure and I would get my Phone soon.:-$
